Its obverse side is vertically oriented and features the Liberator of Latin America Simon Bolivar. Its reverse side is horizontally oriented and features two perched black-hooded siskin birds (Carduelis cucullata) and the Guaraira Repano from the El Avila National Park. Security features include a segmented windowed security thread with demetalized BCV and a watermark of Simon Bolivar with an electrotype BCV. Its dimensions are 156 mm x 69 mm.
